The origin of Saint Anthony's Church, Mankhurd, goes back to the dawn of the Franciscan mission in Salsette between 1585 and 1595 when Father Antonio do Porto and his companions established the early chapel at Mankhurd (then known as Mani).

Today, the parish has grown into a vibrant family bringing together diverse communities in worship and service.
